What could happen if I don't use a filter with my Alarm system?

Once again, you should only use a filter if you have DSL.

Assuming you have DSL, and you are not using a filter with your alarm system. Then the following will happen: Your DSL service will be very very slow, and/or intermittent.  Worse of all, your alarm system will not worked when actually needed. 

Does my alarm system need to have a Filter installed?

Only if you have DSL service. With Fios you don't need it anymore.

If you have DSL service, then your alarm system does need a filter.  But don't use a regular filter, it needs a different type of filter, such filter should be provided by your alarm system provider. In most cases your internet service provider will only send you regular filters. 

Why Verizon flagged my email as spam?

How many email contacts can I have with my Verizon Email?

Customers can have a total of 150 contacts in their Webmail and Basic Mail address books.

How many emails can I send with my Verizon account?

If a customer violates Verizon’s Spamming Policy, their account will be suspended for 24 hours.

• Customers can send an e-mail message to a maximum of 100 recipients in one mailing only.
• If a customer attempts to send an e-mail to more than 100 addressees their e-mail will not be delivered.
•  They cannot send to more than 500 recipients within a one hour period.
• If a customer sends e-mails to more than 500 recipients within a one hour period, their e-mail account will be suspended for 24 hours. 
• If the account shows active in CSR Tools, it is possible that the customer may have violated Verizon’s Spamming Policy.  

Why is my Verizon Email lock?

Verizon will lock a master account or sub account mailbox if there is no e-mail activity or if the mailbox is “idle” for 120 days.

A Mailbox is considered "idle" or "Dormant" if the following occurs:

• Customer does not use or access Verizon Portal (Verizon Central), Webmail, or POP client (Outlook, Outlook Express) for at least 120 days.

When a mailbox is locked:

• Any messages sent to that e-mail address will bounce back to the sender as undeliverable.
• Any messages already in the mailbox will remain until the mailbox is removed.
• Any alias associated with the e-mail address will remain. 

What is my email storage with Verizon?

HSI (dsl) customers will receive the following storage space based on their HSI package:

• 768kbps to 1Mbps Packages:
• 250MB for their primary mailbox
• 50MB for each Sub Account
• This equals a total of 650MB for all 9 mailboxes

• 1.5 to 3Mbps, 4 to 7Mbps packages:
• 2GB for their primary mailbox
• 250MB for each Sub Account
• This equals a total of 4GB for all 9 mailboxes
